Paraffinalia 2016 – A Sensory Feast!
Festive Road’s Paraffinalia 2016 was bigger and better than ever this year.
Held on 17th December in Campbell Park, Milton Keynes , it was attended by over 2,700 people – who were treated to a feast of all their senses!
The Festival included a lantern parade, drummers, fire performers, interactive activities; and a fabulous lampshade tree where people could sit and enjoy food supplied by local artisans. There were also specially commissioned installations, including one created by students from Stantonbury Campus.
The highlight of the evening was the large scale outdoor theatre show which included amazing giant puppetry, a specially designed soundscape, pyrotechnics, and fire sculptures.
The show was truly spectacular and will last long in the memory of all those who attended.
Festive Road would like to thank all their funders and partners – Arts Council England, MK Community Foundation, MK Council, CMK Town Council, Stony Stratford Town Council, Kents Hill & Monkston Parish Council, The Parks Trust, MK Gallery, and Events Managed; plus all their volunteers - who gave generously of their time, help & monies to enable us to produce & deliver Paraffinalia 2016!!
