Festive Road was delighted to partner with Milton Keynes Islamic Arts Heritage on their Carnival of Colours 2022. Held over the weekend of 14th/15th May, it was a multi-cultural event celebrating the diverse communities of Milton Keynes. The theme for this year’s event was ‘Commonwealth’ and tied into the Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations.
Festive Road was thrilled to work with students from Milton Keynes College, The Radcliffe School, and Shenley Brook End School to create pedal-powered ‘floats’, as well as providing some of their own pedal-powered creatures, for the walking parade in Milton Keynes on the 14th May. Other participants in the Parade included a variety of multi-cultural groups who attended in traditional dress, as well as an eclectic mix of musicians which added to the success of the event.
The Carnival of Colours celebrated the beginning of ‘Art in the Park Festival 2022’ – which, over the two days of the festival, attracted an audience of around 5,000 people, with a further 300 plus participants who were directly involved in the Festival.
