On Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th July 2018, Birmingham Hippodrome will present their FREE annual family-friendly outdoor arts festival, 'Summer in Southside.

This year they are adopting a childhood theme, inspired by their main stage show - Roald Dahl's 'Matilda' performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company.

As part of the event, Festive Road's dinosaur family (Hilary, Terry & Baby Rex) will be roaming the streets over the two days.In addition, there willbe traditional funfair rides, retro games, and a whole host of exciting, nostalgic performances to spark the imagination. Stroll through the independent food stalls, have your face painted, and have a go at a whole range of craft workshops and family activities in our theatre foyers and around Southside.
