Heritage Open Day at Festive Road
9 September @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pmFree
2017 is Milton Keynes twelfth year of taking part in Heritage Open Days. In 2006 there were 15 events held across MK – this year there are over 70 events showcasing our distinctive and world class heritage, arts and culture.
As part of this year's Heritage Open Days, we are opening our doors to the public on Saturday 9th September, giving people the opportunity to visit inside the magical doors of Festive Road.
You will be able to get up close to all our fantastical creatures and creations.
You can try your hand at making a 'puppet' from recycled materials. No experience necessary - just a willingness to have a go at creating!
Our Gallery Shop will also be open - where there are all sorts of art and craft work available to view & buy, including some beautiful one-off pieces. There are textiles, sculptures and works by many MK-based artists, as well as contributions from associates of Festive Road across the region. Much of the art work has been created from recycled materials and is distinctly unique!
Pre-booking is not obligatory, but would help with preparation of materials.
Adults and children are welcome.
